We make tons of eat and enjoy it with sausage. I typically cook it up with some onions, apples, some cider or red wine and a spoonful or two of sugar/maple syrup/or honey and some caraway seeds and mustard seeds – YUM YUM YUM.

The cabbage is pickled (salt, water) and spiced with garlic, cloves, allspice and bay. Tiny bit of sugar.
