I signed the petition but sadly, Monsanto knows they are too big and too powerful to give a rats eye about what any of us thinks. I don’t think there is anything that will bring them down. They have too many government officials in their pocket. I will continue to support local organic farmers. The best way to fight Monsanto is for everyone to stop buying their goods. But in these economic times many people can’t afford not to buy the cheap food products and the rest don’t know enough about what they’re buying. *SIGH*

Thank you Ren for this posting to take action.
My husband had the opportuniy this past summer to talk with a gentleman we found out worked for Monsanto in Iowa. Told him all that Monsanto is up to – as an employee he had no clue as to what Monsanto was really doing…my guess that is probably true for virtually all their employees. I don’t think this family even comes close to eating a Nourishing Tradtions way…but the conversation just may have got him thinking about what industry is doing and what they are putting into their bodies.
And, thank you for linking the posting about Canola. I’ve had my very own doubts about Canola from the very first time I saw it on the store shelves and listened to all my friends rave about it. Many magazines at the time were touting it healthier for you than olive oil, that is what probably made me leery of it. There was only one bottle of canola ever on my shelves and not boughten by me. One of my daughters bought – it went rancid since I wouldn’t use it. I’ve never had a bottle or jug of olive oil ever go rancid!!
