  1. Hi Ren, Your post on Nourished Kitchen brought back memories of fresh masa that my parents learned to grow and make from Mexican Indians. What is your source for fresh masa? Do you soak the hard corn yourself or buy it fresh ground? Is it organic or from a trusted (non-gmo) source?

    • We have several /Tortillerias/ in Austin, so its easy to get freshly made tortillas or masa dough to take home. I have made my own masa harina from dried hominy & lime, but this particular batch came from a bag of whole-grain, organic corn flour.

  2. Just came your way via Kitchen Stewardship! It is awesome to find a real food blog that uses lots of zing and interesting flavor combinations in their cooking! Glad to have found you! I have been looking or a tortilla recipe, and am a regular reader of Nourished Kitchen. So I am off to check out your post!
